Xfce edition, don't know about MATE.

Did you setup your installation with an other language than English?

I just did install XFCE on my GhostBSD MATE system and had the same problem with Thunar in MATE.

No, I didn't, just English. I assume it is more a XFCE4 bug than a GhostBSD bug, but a bit of web searching did not bring up any result.

Oh, saw you got it when installing the MATE edition.

Not in MATE itself but in Thunar.

I have fixed the profile file from bug #46 and installed Xfce on my laptop, and it looks like solved the problem.

It doesn't seems solved for me. I have two GhostBSD 11.1 ALPHA1 installations (both Xfce); in one I have fixed /etc/profile, in the other I have not. I do not see any difference in the text. In both installations it is still: 'terminal hier öffnen' in German. Same in Thunar's file menu.
Of course I did fist install and THEN fixed /etc/profile. You did it kinda the other way around: first fixed /etc/profile > then installed.
DO you want me to install a nightly to test?

I will start a build soon.

Installed GhostBSD Xfce 11.1 BETA1 amd64. No difference. text 'terminal hier öffnen', is still in German, also in Thunar's file menu.
To test, I decided to change the locale in /etc/login.conf to 'nl_NL.UTF-8' (Dutch; my native language), The Xfce UI IS translated into Dutch EXCEPT the line 'terminal hier öffnen', is still in German! If I look into the .PO file in /usr/local/share/locale/nl/LC_MESSAGES/Thunar.mo (with 'od -c', which is a royal pita, but I don't think these files are meant to be human readable), I can see there is a translation for that line, but for some reason it isn't applied.
Isn't this an upsteam Xfce issue? Can't find anything about it, though.

BTW, how do I find out which version of GhostBSD I'm currently running? All the usual commands return FreeBSD versions (FreeBSD 11.1-RC3)
